1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website located at www.shineshop.ca (the “Site”), booking any service, or purchasing any product from Scotty’s Shine Shop (“Scotty’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and others who access or use our services, whether in person, online, or by phone.

2. Services Offered

Scotty’s Shine Shop provides the following automotive services at our London, Ontario facility:

• Window tinting (LLumar & Formula1 films)
• Paint protection film (PPF) installation (SunTek Ultra, LLumar)
• Ceramic coatings (Modesta)
• Paint correction
• Full and interior detailing packages
• Exterior detailing and maintenance services
• Headlight restoration
• Odour removal
• Road paint and overspray removal
• Engine cleaning
• Windshield and leather coatings
• Gift cards and retail product sales

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without notice.

3. Appointments & Bookings

Service appointments may be made by phone, email, or through our online contact form. Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a direct confirmation from Scotty’s Shine Shop.

We ask that you provide accurate information about your vehicle at the time of booking. Inaccurate vehicle descriptions may affect pricing and service scope.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for no-shows or late cancellations at our discretion.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes under Ontario and federal law, including HST at the applicable rate.

Final pricing may vary from initial estimates based on the actual condition of the vehicle, scope of work required, or additional services requested. Any changes to the original scope of work will be communicated to you prior to the work being performed.

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, debit, major credit cards, and approved financing arrangements. By using our financing options, you agree to the terms of the applicable third-party financing provider.

5. Financing

Scotty’s Shine Shop may offer third-party financing options for qualifying customers. Financing is subject to approval by the financing provider and their terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the terms, rates, or decisions made by any third-party financing company.

6. Vehicle Drop-Off & Pick-Up

When leaving your vehicle with us, you authorize Scotty’s Shine Shop and its staff to operate your vehicle as reasonably necessary to perform the requested services (e.g., moving the vehicle within the shop or parking area).

Vehicles must be picked up within a reasonable time after you are notified that service is complete. We are not responsible for vehicles left on our premises beyond this period, though we will make reasonable efforts to contact you.

7. Liability & Limitation of Liability

Scotty’s Shine Shop takes great care with every vehicle in our care. However, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Ontario law:

• We are not liable for pre-existing damage, defects, or conditions present before your vehicle arrived at our facility.
• We are not liable for damage caused by unforeseen vehicle conditions (e.g., failing trim clips, worn seals, pre-existing rust) that are discovered or affected during service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from services performed shall not exceed the amount you paid for those services.

This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Scotty’s Shine Shop or its employees.

In the unlikely event of any concern with work performed, please contact us promptly so we may address it directly.

8. Warranties & Guarantees

Where specific product warranties apply (e.g., LLumar, SunTek, Modesta), those warranties are governed by the respective manufacturer’s terms and conditions, which will be provided to you upon request or at the time of service. Scotty’s Shine Shop will assist customers in pursuing valid warranty claims where possible.

Scotty’s Shine Shop does not make any additional warranty representations beyond those provided by product manufacturers unless stated in writing.

9. Online Store

Purchases made through our online store are subject to these Terms as well as any additional terms presented at the time of purchase. Products are shipped or made available for in-store pickup as indicated. We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or discontinue products at any time.

Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, images, logos, video, and graphics, is the property of Scotty’s Shine Shop or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable Canadian copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., social media platforms, financing partners, product manufacturers). These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site.

12. Consumer Protection – Ontario

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario). Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable Ontario consumer protection legislation.

If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first to resolve it directly. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Ontario Consumer Protection Branch or pursued through the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our Site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
